Power 10 Year Guarantee
Every Power shed is made to stand the test of time. Any shed purchased on the PowerSheds.com website or through an approved Power retailer comes with our free 10 year guarantee, against timber rot, decay or insect infestation.
We source only the finest high grade timber available, suitable for a garden shed. The timber is specially and responsibly imported from forests in Scandinavia in line with our sustainability policy. We select slow-grown timber which means the timber is stronger and resistant to warping.
You can choose where you want the door and windows as you assemble it, allowing the shed to fit your garden and be the last shed you'll ever have to buy. This really is the world's most adaptable shed.
Tongue & Groove Throughout
All Power sheds are made from 12mm thick shiplap tongue and groove timber. Even the floor and roof are 12mm tongue and groove to give extra strength and durability. Shiplap cladding has the additional feature of a small profile at the top of each board. This little channel, allows water to run off the shed quicker than normal tongue and groove. This also helps the shed dry quickly after exposure to rain, helping to protect it from any water damage.
Heavy Duty Framing
The shed framing is 44x28mm and rounded at each corner to give a stunning finish. The panels are screwed together and so when joined it creates double strength 44x56mm thick framing.

Our Power Apex garden buildings have a small ventilation gap at the top of the apex under the roof overhang for ventilation. The roof overhang protects the shed from water ingress but innovatively allows condensation to escape.
Our Power Pent garden buildings can be ventilated under the roof overhang on the low side. However, you would need to ensure you do not install the low side soffit on the underside of the roof if you do want ventilation. We supply the low side soffit as some customers want the gap covering, but either way is fine.
Why Garden Building Ventilation is Important
Airflow is important to both the longevity and overall comfort inside of your building. Proper airflow is required to prevent mildew and chemical fume build-up. If mildew is allowed to build this can lead to timber walls slowly rotting, stored goods to smell and grow mould and electrical equipment to degrade. Whilst fumes from chemicals such as fuels, solvents and pesticides can lead to sickness in humans and pets.
Airflow is also important for the overall comfort of your garden building. Good airflow provides better temperature control and an overall drier atmosphere, making time spent inside your building a more pleasant experience.
Garden building ventilation is key to preventing these concerns especially in smaller sheds due to the lesser volume of air inside.
If you would like to further ventilate your shed we have compiled a list of different options you can look into. Please note Power Sheds does not offer any ventilation options..
Wall vents are one of the most popular ways to induce good air circulation. Once installed they provide a healthy supply of air into and out of the shed. You could even opt for multiple wall vents to maximise airflow.
Venting skylights not only offer fresh air into your shed but also another light source. There are different designs of venting skylights such as openable windows or fixed vents that protect the inside of your shed from the weather elements while promoting airflow.
Powered Gable Vent
Powered gable vents are a great way of providing airflow whilst being able to control and reduce flow as you wish. For example in the colder months you may want less airflow if you were spending long periods inside your shed.
Can I change the delivery date of my order?
We despatch the shed 2-5 working days prior to your agreed delivery date, if you need to amend anything on your order please let us know at least 6 working days in advance so this can be actioned.
Can I place the door/windows of the garden shed in a different position?
Our range of Power sheds are modular allowing you to build them in your own way. You can choose where you want the door and windows (if applicable) as you assemble it, allowing the shed to fit your garden. The side wall panels are in 4ft and 2ft modular sections and so you can choose the position of these panels as you build it. The components at the top of the gable are separate components which allows you the flexibility to do this. The shed comes complete with comprehensive instructions and fixings.
The following video shows an apex shed but this modular adaptable system applies to any of our sheds, whether it is a pent or apex.
Can you insulate a garden shed?
Customers often ask if you can insulate a garden shed. Insulation works by slowing the transfer of heat, with the aim to prevent heat (or cold) from being transmitted – either from inside of the shed to the outside, or from the outside of the shed to the inside.
It is possible to insulate a garden shed but there is a bit of work to do to achieve this. There is framing in the shed which creates a void to allow you to insulate it, and then board over.
Do I need to re-treat or re-paint my shed?
Our shed comes with an advance exterior wood preservative. You can install your shed without worrying about the elements and it allows you a year to select a preserver or paint in your choice of colour to cover the base preserver. We do recommend you retreat your garden building internally as well as externally annually thereafter. You may re-treat it or change the colour sooner if you wish.
Do you offer bespoke sheds?
Please note that many of our sheds are fully adaptable where you can position the doors and windows on any side as you build it.
If you require a shed with additional or fewer doors or windows etc then this is usually not an issue for us.
If there is anything more complex you would like then please get in touch with your requirements and we can advise through either calling us on 01274 036577 or emailing us at email@example.com.
This company is first class in every aspect. From correspondence to delivery updates. From packing to delivery. The quality of the timber they use is second to none.
