Power 10 Year Guarantee
Every Power shed is made to stand the test of time. Any shed purchased on the PowerSheds.com website or through an approved Power retailer comes with our free 10 year guarantee, against timber rot, decay or insect infestation.
We source only the finest high grade timber available, suitable for a garden shed. The timber is specially and responsibly imported from forests in Scandinavia in line with our sustainability policy. We select slow-grown timber which means the timber is stronger and resistant to warping.
You can choose where you want the door and windows as you assemble the shed, allowing it to fit your garden and be the last shed you'll ever have to buy. This really is the world's most adaptable shed.
Tongue & Groove Throughout
All Power sheds are made from 12mm thick shiplap tongue and groove timber. Even the floor and roof are 12mm tongue and groove to give extra strength and durability. Shiplap cladding has the additional feature of a small profile at the top of each board. This little channel, allows water to run off the shed quicker than normal tongue and groove. This also helps the shed dry quickly after exposure to rain, helping to protect it from any water damage.
Heavy Duty Framing
The shed framing is 44x28mm and rounded at each corner to give a stunning finish. The panels are screwed together and so when joined it creates double strength 44x56mm thick framing.
The shed really is something our competitors look up to with it being that extra bit taller to give you ample headroom inside.
Windowed Power sheds come with toughened safety glass as standard. The toughening process improves the structural durability and thermal strength of the glass, in turn increasing its resilience and ability to withstand heat. Toughened glass is 500% more resistant to heat and shock than ordinary glass. The glass is already internally beaded so you don't have to fit the glass yourself and PVC sills complete the window units to prevent water ingress and provide a stunning finish.
A Power shed comes with galvanised hinges, turn buttons and door pull this ensures the shed lasts longer and minimises oxidisation. Galvanising is coating with a protective layer of zinc, in order to protect it from rust and other damage.
Internal corner bracing has been added to every wall panel on your apex shed to maximise strength and rigidity.
Premium 'Super' Felt
The shed is complete with a high performing waterproof felt with special 'polyester' backing ensuring it lasts longer and doesn't ripple or tear easily. The felt is saturated with a protective coating called bitumen (asphalt), which repels water but still allows the product to breathe.
Our special formula wood preserver has a wax additive allowing you to go a WHOLE YEAR without the need to re-treat your apex shed. However, it is water based and has just the right amount of wax so that if you want to paint the shed a different colour, you can. At Power we dip treat shed panels into a tank of preservative fully submerging the panel into the treatment. All surfaces are thoroughly immersed before being removed and dried.
Roof Truss Support
A roof truss will stop shed roofs sagging even after years of use. Your apex shed will come with a roof truss every 4ft. A truss is a structural framework of timber designed to provide support for a roof.

Can I place the door/windows of the garden shed in a different position?
Our range of Power sheds are modular allowing you to build them in your own way. You can choose where you want the door and windows (if applicable) as you assemble it, allowing the shed to fit your garden. The side wall panels are in 4ft and 2ft modular sections and so you can choose the position of these panels as you build it. The components at the top of the gable are separate components which allows you the flexibility to do this. The shed comes complete with comprehensive instructions and fixings.
The following video shows an apex shed but this modular adaptable system applies to any of our sheds, whether it is a pent or apex.
Can we view your garden sheds?
Of course! We have many shed trade agents up and down the UK, who can be found on our store finder page
We advise you call ahead if there is a trader in a reachable distance from you. Some trade agents will not have every building we offer on display but you will be able to see and feel the quality of the shed and order in store.
Our location is a manufacturing site only, and unfortunately we do not have a show site ourselves.
Can you provide a garden shed with two doors?
Yes – we can certainly provide a shed with another door. This could be a door at each end of the shed to create a kind of tunnel, or two doors next to each other for example. There are plenty options available for garden sheds with two doors.
Pricing available on enquiry.
Please note, there are different charges for the security sheds as these come with a high security lock.
If you would like to place an order for a garden shed with two doors then you would have to order this over the telephone.
Do you offer bespoke sheds?
Please note that many of our sheds are fully adaptable where you can position the doors and windows on any side as you build it.
If you require a shed with additional or fewer doors or windows etc then this is usually not an issue for us.
If there is anything more complex you would like then please get in touch with your requirements and we can advise through either calling us on 01274 036577 or emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Does the garden shed roof come pre-felted?
Unfortunately the roof cannot be delivered pre-felted. This would have to be put on the roof during shed assembly. The roof panels are modular which means the felt cannot be put on prior to assembly. Our customers usually don’t find it too difficult to install and if you did have issues, we can guide you over the phone if necessary.
Here is a video showing our felt being installed on to the shed:
The felt we supply is a polyester backed roofing felt, explained the video following:
Does the shed come with a floor?
All Power sheds come with a fully boarded tongue and groove floor with pre attached floor joists which sit on the underside of the floor lifting the shed off the base by 44mm.
The tongue and groove boards are 12mm thick.
Does the shed come with instructions and fixings?
Absolutely – full and comprehensive instructions are included. We also supply all the screws and nails necessary to put together your garden building. If you have any issues installing please do not hesitate to get in touch so we can help you over the phone.
Please see our installation instructions for all of our building range.
What is shiplap tongue and groove cladding?
Tongue and groove claddingis where each board has a ‘tongue’ which locks into the ‘groove’ of the board above. Our Shiplap Power sheds are comprised of shiplap tongue and groove cladding which is a form of tongue and groove.
Shiplap cladding on a shed is a type of tongue and groove cladding. Shiplap cladding has the additional feature of a small profile at the top of each board. This little channel, allows water to run off the shed quicker than normal tongue and groove. This also helps the shed dry quickly after exposure to rain, helping to protect it from any water damage. Shiplap tongue and groove cladding also gives sheds an attractive appearance and has a robust and sturdy structure.
Will I require planning permission for my shed?
All of our sheds are under 2.5m tall to allow you to put a shed in the garden without applying for planning permission (unless it’s more than 50% of your garden or to be put in your front garden). However, if you are unsure then please check with the planning portal as the rules are complex and can change in different areas.
Are the garden buildings ventilated?
Our Power Apex garden buildings have a small ventilation gap at the top of the apex under the roof overhang for ventilation. The roof overhang protects the shed from water ingress but innovatively allows condensation to escape.
Our Power Pent garden buildings can be ventilated under the roof overhang on the low side. However, you would need to ensure you do not install the low side soffit on the underside of the roof if you do want ventilation. We supply the low side soffit as some customers want the gap covering, but either way is fine.
Why Garden Building Ventilation is Important
Airflow is important to both the longevity and overall comfort inside of your building. Proper airflow is required to prevent mildew and chemical fume build-up. If mildew is allowed to build this can lead to timber walls slowly rotting, stored goods to smell and grow mould and electrical equipment to degrade. Whilst fumes from chemicals such as fuels, solvents and pesticides can lead to sickness in humans and pets.
Airflow is also important for the overall comfort of your garden building. Good airflow provides better temperature control and an overall drier atmosphere, making time spent inside your building a more pleasant experience.
Garden building ventilation is key to preventing these concerns especially in smaller sheds due to the lesser volume of air inside.
If you would like to further ventilate your shed we have compiled a list of different options you can look into. Please note Power Sheds does not offer any ventilation options..
Wall vents are one of the most popular ways to induce good air circulation. Once installed they provide a healthy supply of air into and out of the shed. You could even opt for multiple wall vents to maximise airflow.
Venting skylights not only offer fresh air into your shed but also another light source. There are different designs of venting skylights such as openable windows or fixed vents that protect the inside of your shed from the weather elements while promoting airflow.
Powered Gable Vent
Powered gable vents are a great way of providing airflow whilst being able to control and reduce flow as you wish. For example in the colder months you may want less airflow if you were spending long periods inside your shed.

Never buy a shed from anyone else
I will never buy a shed from anyone else ever again!
Having looked around at various sheds
Having looked around at various sheds online and Powersheds looked a good option esp after reading reviews. Not disappointed, good quality. Quick delivery and well packed.
10x6 Apex Double Door Shed
I bought the 10x6 Apex Double Door Shed plus the base. The quality and fit are outstanding, far better than slightly cheaper products elsewhere. Also the instructions are concise and clear........
Very good shed
I bought two 12x6 sheds, one apex and the other a pent. I like the principle and ease of construction - was able to build both by myself. Would recommend to anyone to have these.
Well pleased with this shed
Well pleased with this shed, it's exactly as described and pretty easy to put together. Good service, delivered on the agreed day and very helpful staff, would highly recommend.
