What can I use to tap down the logs when installing my cabin?

Return to all questions

When installing your log cabin, you may find that you need to gently tap the logs into position to ensure a secure fit. We would advise using a rubber mallet for this where possible to reduce the risk of damage to the timber. You’ll also want to make sure you use a piece of timber as a buffer between the logs and the mallet, especially on the corners, to prevent the logs from breaking or the tongue from becoming damaged.
